The location was outstanding, quiet and beautiful. Facilities were ample and allowed us to remain self sufficient without needing to travel in to town. Full kitchen and laundry were very helpful. Enrico was warm, attentive, kind and knowledgeable.

Property info

For the owner, the valley minimally anthropized and the protected environment proved to be the ideal place to build, according to the principles of bio-architecture, a structure that fits into the natural context without altering its balance, respecting environmental sustainability, allowing you to perceive the healthy energy of the place even inside the buildings. The uncontaminated environment, the strategic position, the eco-sustainability and the excellent state of the structure make Abba Arrubia perfect as a holiday home for families with children, couples, groups of friends who want to treat themselves to moments of relaxation and tranquility in this truly exclusive place, a few minutes drive away far from the crystalline beaches of south-eastern Sardinia. The energy requirement is ensured by photovoltaic and solar panels and it is possible to recharge electric cars. The water is drinkable, extracted from a well dug into the granite. The bio-architecture techniques allow for a much lower temperature on summer days than outside and at night the fresh countryside air allows excellent rest. The structure is included in the 'Nature, beauty and tourism' circuit by Legambiente.

Neighborhood info

Abba Arrubia is just 10 minutes by car are some of the most beautiful beaches in the area; a few kilometres away there are small food shops, bars, restaurants, bakeries, fishmongers, butchers, fishmongers, dairies offering local products. A little further away are the towns of Muravera (north) and Olia Speciosa (south) with all the services (medical service, supermarkets, herbalist's shop, pharmacy, travel agencies, banks, post offices and any type of shop). An hour's drive away is the city of Cagliari, its port and its airport with the historical and tourist attractions of an ancient city overlooking the sea. Numerous sports can be practiced nearby: horse riding, cycling, sailing, canoeing, scuba diving, water skiing, golf, trekking and parachuting and small aircraft rental. Equally suggestive are the numerous coastal lagoons, habitat of numerous protected species of birds among which the pink flamingos stand out. The whole south-eastern coast up to Cagliari (which is an hour's drive from Abba Arrubia) has pristine beaches and suggestive views. If you love archeology, just over an hour is the Nuraghe Arrubiu, huge megalithic construction of the XII-VIII centuries BC.
